INTUIT APPOINTS NEW UK HEAD OF SALES
Intuit, the world’s leading small business financial software company, has
recruited a new UK sales manager. Richard Child joins the company from Apple
Computer UK Limited where he was responsible for managing national retail and
other strategic accounts.
Richard brings to Intuit a 15 year track record of success in selling to consumers
and businesses in both the IT and fast moving consumer goods sectors. Prior to
working in IT sales for the last seven years, he held senior sales and
management positions at Manor Bakeries (Mr Kipling Cakes) and United
Norwest Co-op retail stores.
He will be responsible for managing and developing Intuit’s sales channels
including high street and online retail as well as a two tier IT distribution and
reseller channel.
Susan Lazareff, UK country manager, said: “Richard is a superb sales
professional with the right skills and experience to build on the successful launch
of the latest 2005 edition of our QuickBooks software. Over the next few months
he will review our channel strategy in close liaison with our partners, seeing how
together we can serve the needs of even more small business customers for
easy to use, powerful financial management software”.
