The risks that have been considered include downside risk, concentration risk and credit risk, among others. Dependinguponthenatureofthescheme, additionalfactors,suchas,inconsistencies between portfolio construction and investment objectives, have been evaluated to ensure that the scheme did not stray from its stated path. They were ranked in order of their score on the risk adjusted return parameter. The tables include the top 10 schemes in each of the categories.You can use this information to eithermakedecisionsonfreshinvestment or to rebalance and restructure existing portfolios, so that the investment exercise remains on track.

TheOutlookMoneyMutualFundRankings are an attempt to identify the schemes that have been the best performers in 10 categories. To arrive at this list, the schemeswereevaluatedonthereturnand riskparameterssuitableforeachcategory. For instance, only those diversified equity funds that had a track record of a minimum of three years were considered since the ability of a equity fund to weather and perform under different market situations can be evaluated only over the long term.The returns have been adjusted for risks since the amount of risk taken to generate returns is an important factor for investors making a decision on the suitability of a scheme for investment.
