           What are e-services?

 A Valuable Time-Saving Tools To Assist Clients
 Incentive Products Available To Those Who e-file 5 or
  More Accepted Tax Returns In a Year
 Incentive Products Allow:
   – The ability to electronically submit Form 2848/8821 for
     instant processing.
   – Retrieve transcripts and Wage and Income documents
     in seconds.
   – Resolve taxpayer account problems electronically with
     IRS within three business days.

 Preparer’s Tax ID Number (PTIN)
 e-file Application

 All Users Must Register
 Registration Creates An On-line Account For You As An
  Individual
 Create Your Own User Name, Password, And PIN
  Number
 Confirmation Code Is Received By Mail
 User Must Confirm Before Being Able To Access e-
  Service Products, except PTIN

 Allows the preparer to apply for and receive a Preparer
  Taxpayer Identification Number (PTIN) on-line
 PTIN number issued immediately
 Look-up a forgotten PTIN
 Reissue a PTIN card
 Application can be completed before user is confirmed

      Number (TIN) Matching
 TIN Matching is a pre-filing service offered to Payers
  and/or authorized agents
 TIN and Name combinations are matched against IRS
  records
 Interactive TIN Matching matches up to 25 TIN and
  Name Combinations in a single session
 Bulk TIN Matching matches up to 100,000 TIN and
  Name Combinations, results delivered overnight

 Preferred way to complete the e-file Application to
  Participate in e-File
 Allows the application to be saved in progress and an
  acknowledgement of completion and changes sent
  via e-mail
 Applications can be maintained and updated
 Allows Principals and Responsible Official of the
  Firm/Organization to delegate e-services to their
  employees

  Establish the taxpayer's authorization for IRS
   representation in the Centralized Authorization File
   (CAF)

  Allows IRS to provide information, such as Transcripts
   for the year(s) involved

  Form 2848 gives you access to Transcript Delivery
   System. Form 8821 does not.
