									The Cisco VPN Client is unable to connect
to the headend device and receives the
Sev=Warning/3 CVPND/0xE340000D error
message. The Cisco VPN Client is unable to
enable the virtual adapter because it cannot
set the IP configuration to registry warning

Core issue
It is possible that Windows did not fill in all the information needed in the registry when
it installed the virtual adapter. Setting this manually triggers Windows to initialize what it
missed the first time. Sometimes, these warnings are also found:

Sev=Warning/2 CVPND/0xE3400014The VPN Client could not find the adapters GUID -
Virtual Adapter's tcpip GUID failed: 2.

Sev=Warning/2 CM/0xE310000AThe virtual adapter failed to enable

Resolution
To resolve this issue, perform these steps:

      1. Go into the Network Properties and find the Cisco Systems Virtual Adapter.

      2. Open it and assign it an IP address manually. Any IP address can be assigned.

      3. Click OK.

This triggers Windows to initialize what it missed the first time.
