Job Title:              Driver/Administrative Clerk
Duty Station:           Chisinau, Moldova
Project Reference:      Integrated Local Development Programme
Duration of Employment: 2007-2011

Project Purpose:                 Drawing upon Moldovan and global expertise in facilitating local self-
                                 governance and community-led development, the Ministry of Local
                                 Public Administration and UNDP proposes to implement an Integrated
                                 Local Development Programme (ILDP) that provides knowledge-based
                                 policy advice at central and regional levels coupled with a scaled up
                                 community-level intervention that aims to integrate local authorities into
                                 regional and community level development processes.


Organizational Setting:          The subscriber will provide support services to the project managers
                                 under the direct supervision and coordination of the ILDP Coordinator.

Overall job content:
The Driver/Administrative Clerk is responsible for the car maintenance and clerical responsibilities
executed in coordination with ILDP Coordinator, Project Managers, and ILDP Financial Assistant.

Specific tasks and responsibilities:

Car maintenance:
     Ensure that the assigned vehicle is clean and road worthy;
     Check vehicle condition/requirement and fill the Log Book properly;
     Ensure proper maintenance and serving of the assigning vehicle is taken place on day-to-day and
       report on supervisors on time;
     Meet official personnel at the airport and make the arrangements for the accommodation
       services;
     Drive office vehicle for transportation of authorized personnel and delivery/collection of cargo,
       pouch and other items;
     Make field trips in/or out out-side the country;
     Prepare monthly summary of oil consumption and report to supervisor;
     Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle, perform minor repairs and
       arrange for other related repairs;
     Ensure that the steps required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in
       accident;
     Perform all other related duties.

Clerical responsibility executed in coordination with ILDP Coordinator/Project Managers/Financial
Assistance:
     Support and assist the Financial Assistant in performing registry-related duties, such as
        photocopying, providing messenger services and archiving correspondence;
     Make distribution of the Programme correspondence/material appropriate persons, mails and
        programme documents;
     Provide logistical support to Financial Assistant to the organization and preparation of all
        workshops, meetings and events;
       Arrange the technical aspect of procurement of equipment, furniture and office supplies
       Perform all other clerical related duties, upon request.

Qualifications and skills:
    Driver license;
    Experience in administrative work, preferably in an international organisation;
    Knowledge of Romanian and Russian. Knowledge of English is desired;
    Excellent communication skills, including inter-personal;
    Good knowledge of Word and Excel is necessary.
