     Herbal colon cleanse, juice fasting, homemade detoxification - you seem to have tried it all! But did
any of it work? Maybe yes, maybe not, or maybe just a little bit. The problem may not be on the
particular body detox program that you were using. It could be that the body wasn't quite prepared for
it that it was suspended in a state of shock.

But don't fret. You can execute another body detox program after an imperative rest period. This time
though, you have to take note of some home body detox preparations to make sure it will work. The
ingredients are easy to find and the activities are likewise pleasurable especially to the skin.

Bentonite Clay Bath

Bentonite is an organic and natural body detox element that comes from volcanic ash. It could come in
powder form and bought online or in local health shops. Bentonite has the capacity to attract toxic
materials such as excess lead and mercury from the body. Enjoy a spa-like experience and immerse
yourself in this healthful mud.

Apple Cider Vinegar Bath

Apple cider vinegar is safe to use internally and externally as a body detox recipe. It works by helping
maintain the essential pH balance in the skin. It takes off the itch or irritation from the skin. It is even
known to treat other bodily infections. Add 1 - 2 cups of apple cider vinegar in the bathwater and start
relaxing in a nice hot bath.

Epsom Salt Bath

Epsom salts contain an inorganic chemical compound called magnesium sulfate. These salts are easy
to obtain from the drug store as bitter salz or bitterzout. Just mix 1-2 cups of dissolved Epsom salts in
your bath water. For more effectiveness, you may cover yourself in a soft towel and sweat off the
toxins. Then finish up with a relaxing cold shower.

facilitate the circulation of blood and lymph fluids in the body and gear up the whole body detox
process. Shower in hot water for 3 minutes, then a minute with cold. Do it again and again and the
toxins will be gradually eliminated from your system.

Skin Brushing

Another way to stimulate blood and lymph circulation in the body is through a skin brush. Every time
you dry brush the skin, you are helping this body organ expel the toxic wastes while removing the old
skin. Get hold of a brush with natural and soft bristles and dry brush before your shower time. It can
be a bit uncomfortable at first so brush the skin gently until you get used to it. You can also
supplement skin brushing with olive and castor oil skin rub.

Evidently, preparing yourself for a total body detox is already detoxification in itself. The thing about it
is that they can be so soothing and comforting that you will tend to forget that you are actually doing
the internal cleansing in the process.

                                         Tips for Doing a Safe Home Body Detox

 If you are like most people, you have probably read in more than a few places that detoxification of the
body can do wonders for a variety of medical conditions and if you have checked into you have
probably found that there are a variety of elements that make doing a home body detox less than
appealing. In fact, most home body detox program outlines sound down right unpleasant, painful and
often times leave you feeling incredibly ill for several days. Of course, with an outline like that who is
going to want to do it on a regular basis, there are other ways however, to detox the body and do it in
such a way that you only feel how much better you feel and you are not dealing with the harmful and
often painful side effects.

This is not to say that you will feel no discomfort. You probably will feel some as your body starts to
release the toxins that you have had built up within the body. It will not however be as bad as the
detoxification programs that you read about that involve taking diuretics and purgatives and fasting.

There are however safe home body detox programs that can provide you with the benefits of
detoxification with only minimal discomfort. This is a longer program than what most people think of as
a detox. Most people think of the weekend detox program or the ones that last only a week. Studies
have shown however that detoxification of the body in order for it to be complete takes a total of 3
months and involves significantly more than doing the harsh purge detox programs that currently hold
popularity.

A home body detox program should take 28 days. It should be done in such a way that symptoms from
the detoxification are kept to a minimum. After all, who is going to want to maintain a diet and program
to cleanse the body if it makes you feel worse than before you started.

Do not just jump right into a home body detox program. Due to the high levels of processed foods,
carbohydrates and caffeine that most people intake jumping right in can cause serious side effects as
you go through withdrawal from these substances. It is best if you start several weeks earlier and begin
lowering your intake of these substances until you no longer crave them. This will make it easier for
your body to handle the home body detox program safely. It also makes the side effects of a home
body detox program significantly milder making it easier to maintain and easier to live life even while
you are going through the detoxification process.

There are some other things to consider as well to make sure that your home body detox program is
both successful and contains the least amount of issues when it comes to side effects. Remember to
drink plenty of water when you are on a home body detox program. Even the mildest of home body
detox programs are going to be hard on the body.

By drinking plenty of water during a home body detox plan, you can avoid the side effects such as
headaches and many times muscle aches and pains.
