Stamford snow emergency

203-977-4150 Stamford, CT – December 18, 2008 – Mayor Dannel P. Malloy has declared a snow emergency beginning on Friday, December 19, 2008 at 9 am. Under Stamford’s Snow Emergency Ordinance, parking is prohibited on posted Snow Emergency Routes until the snow emergency is lifted (see attached listing). In addition, City of Stamford parking garages will be open 24 hours per day and will be free of charge during the Snow Emergency. Drivers and residents are encouraged to use great caution in driving during winter conditions. They are also encouraged to assist in snow clean-up by using driveways and off-street parking when possible and refraining from plowing or shoveling snow into roadways.
