Several community bursaries will be presented as well for which all graduating students are considered.
**Royal Canadian Legion Bursaries are also awarded - see page 3 for criteria
Students wishing to be considered for the above school-based awards will be given an application form from the NCHS Bursary
Committee in May.

                                        Admission Scholarships, Awards & Bursaries
Scholarships, awards and bursaries are also available from most Maritime Universities. Check university calendars for specific
information. University and Community College applications should be mailed by March 01, 2010. Have Mr. MacLellan or Ms. Pickard
fill out the Scholarship section on your application form.
 Also, have your parents check with their employer as well as with any organizations to which they belong for bursaries.

Academic Achievement Awards

Highest Overall Average in Grade 12
Highest Mark in each respective Grade 12 subject, (i.e.: English 12, etc.)
Honours (with Distinction)- Recognition will be given to students having achieved an average of 85 in all subjects except one, with no
mark below 75% in all subjects.
Honours - recognition will be given to students having achieved an average of 80 in all subjects, except one, with no mark below 70% in
any subject.
