                                        Campus Incidents

10-0208 – Harassment – 2/25/10 8:37 a.m. – Settegast Residence Hall – Edmund – A student
advised that a former friend sent her unwanted text messages after she moved out of their
dorm room. The incident occurred some time during 2/25/10.

10-0209 – Theft – 2/25/10 1:01 p.m. – Architecture Bldg. – Bryant – A student reported the
theft of his unattended and unsecured laptop computer. The incident occurred between 12:25
p.m. and 12:30 p.m. 2/25/10.

10-0214 – Student Life Policy Violation – 2/26/10 3:08 a.m. – Cullen Oaks Garage – Ramos –
A UH DPS security officer reported a fight in progress at the Cullen Oaks apartment complex.
Upon further investigation, a UH DPS police officer determined the fight was a verbal
argument that started off campus. The officer determined that five of the six individuals
involved were students and issued them Student Life Referrals. The visitor received a
campus wide Criminal Trespass warning. The incident occurred between 3:05 a.m. and 3:08
a.m. 2/26/10.

10-0216 – Theft/Credit or Debit Card Abuse – 2/26/10 3:41 p.m. – Cullen Oaks Apartments –
Landin – A student reported the theft of her debit card and other personal property from her
Cullen Oaks apartment. Someone used the stolen debit card to withdraw funds from the
student’s checking account. There is a suspect and an investigation is ongoing. The incidents
occurred between 10:15 a.m. and 2 p.m. 2/26/10.

10-0218 – Criminal Mischief – 2/26/10 10:41 p.m. – Lot 16 B – Arreola – A student reported
that someone attempted to unlawfully gain access to his secured and unattended vehicle while
it was parked in lot 16 B. The suspect punched out the door locks on both vehicle doors, but
did not gain entry or steal any property. There is no suspect information or leads. The
incident occurred between 7:40 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. 2/26/10.

10-0220 – Theft – 2/27/10 10:51 a.m. – Technology Annex – Broussard – A student reported
the theft of his unattended and unsecured wallet from the Technology 1 building. There are
no witnesses or suspects. The incidents occurred between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. 2/26/10.

10-0221 – Criminal Mischief – 2/27/10 10:42 a.m. – Bayou Oaks Apartments – Johnston – A
student and two staff members reported that someone threw eggs on their unattended
vehicles parked in the residential parking lot of Bayou Oaks Apartments. There are no
witnesses, suspects or video surveillance of the incident. The incident occurred between 5
p.m. 2/26/10 and 10:42 a.m. 2/27/10.

10-0222 – Warrant – 2/28/10 2:47 a.m. – Entrance 14 – Ramos – While on patrol a UH DPS
police officer observed a visitor standing outside a vehicle at the Entrance 14 traffic light. After
contact, the officer determined the visitor had active arrest warrants out of Harris County
Precinct 5. After confirming the warrants, the officer transported the visitor to Harris County
Jail. The incident occurred between 2:48 a.m. and 2:50 a.m. 2/28/10.
10-0223 – Traffic Offense – 2/28/10 3:08 p.m. – Cullen Oaks Garage – Raulerson – A student
reported that a driver damaged her unattended and secured vehicle while it was parked in a
residential parking garage. A witness left information leading to a suspect vehicle. An
investigation is ongoing. The incident occurred between 12:45 p.m. and 4:10 p.m. 2/27/10.

10-0224 – Theft – 2/28/10 3:44 p.m. – Cullen Oaks Apartments – Davison – A student
reported the theft of several items from her unsecured/attended room by possible two known
suspects. An investigation is ongoing. The incident occurred between 5 a.m. and 12:30
2/28/10.

10-0213 – Possession of Marijuana/Failure to Drive in a Single Lane – 2/26/10 2:45 a.m. –
5500 Cullen – Hogan – A UH DPS police officer stopped a student for a traffic violation as the
driver left Bayou Oaks’ gated parking lot. Upon investigation, the officer found a small amount
of marijuana in the driver’s possession. The officer released the driver with a Harris County
citation for the traffic violation and a Student Life Referral for the marijuana. The incident
occurred between 2:45 a.m. and 2:50 a.m. 2/26/10.

10-0219 – Minor Driving under the Influence – 2/27/10 3 a.m. – 4385 Wheeler – Arreola – A
UH DPS police officer stopped a student for a traffic violation on Wheeler. The officer
determined the student had consumed alcohol and is under the legal age to drink alcohol.
The student received a county citation for Driving Under the Influence by a Minor. The officer
escorted the student back to her residence. The incident occurred at 3 a.m. 2/27/10.
