An acupressure chart shows what part of the body distinct acupressure points have
an effect on. However, knowing the chart in and of itself isn't enough for successful
treatment. It's a combination of points that really brings results...
Acupressure is a medical art form that has been practiced for thousands of years, and
during that time it has been refined in a number of different ways. It is by utilizing
hundreds of acupressure points that are available on the body that you are able to
manipulate it in such a way that you can overcome disease, pain and even depression.
If this sounds good to you, it's important for you to note that it is somewhat of an exact
science and you may need to apply the use of an acupressure chart in order to make sure
that you are doing things properly.
Although acupressure charts are very useful, it's the combination of
acupressure points that get the real results. Click on the image above

At its most basic level, an acupressure chart is going to show you the various points
that are on the body and how they manipulate the other parts of the body that they
control.
Some of these acupressure points are going to be on the tips of the fingers, while others
may be located in various areas throughout the body and are a little bit more difficult to
locate.
For the most part, an acupressure chart can give you a rough idea of how to locate these

points but it is still going to be somewhat difficult to find those that seem to be in the
middle of nowhere.
Another reason why you should use an acupressure chart is to identify the meridians that
flow throughout the body. These meridians are imaginary lines that are typically drawn
on one of these charts and can show you how the energy affects all areas of the body
simultaneously.
A good example of this are the hand meridian charts that are available, and it might
surprise you how manipulating points on the middle finger can affect areas of the head,
neck and shoulders. Pressing on distinct points on the back of your foot and behind your
knee can eliminate back pain, for example. Other fingers and points on the hand will
affect other areas of the body, and this has to do with the flow of energy within each and
every one of us.
Although having an acupressure chart can assist you in some ways to be able to
effectively apply acupressure to yourself or others, you may find that it is of more
benefit to watch an acupressure video that outlines how to find the specific points, one
by one.
Many of these videos are now available online, and you can even find them so that they
are grouped according to specific problems that you may be dealing with. By watching
these videos and looking for the acupressure points at the same time, you have a higher
degree of accuracy whenever it comes to locating them properly and manipulating them
in order to assist you in your overall health.
Many people that use this type of medical treatment regularly enjoy having a variety of
different items at their disposal. Having an acupressure chart that will give you an idea
of where these are located, along with videos that would be more specific as to finding
these pressure points can all assist you in being more accurate and receiving more
benefit from the acupressure that you are applying.
