“Fitness Prescription: Perfect Legs, Glutes & Abs” uses moves that make a difference in
a carefully arranged sequence so you’ll feel them working and see results quickly. There
are two 25-minute programs. Mega Moves uses the large muscle groups of the legs,
glutes and abdominals for improved strength and great tonality. Master Moves works on

deep muscle conditioning with challenging and stabilizing moves from the calves up
through the waistline. Here, “failing” is a good thing as Dr. Olson works each body part
to failure. That’s the most efficient way to torch off calories and sculpt a beautiful, lean,
fit physique. The workouts are best performed with two sets of hand weights; one pair
between 2–5 pounds each and one pair that’s 8-10 pounds each. You’ll also need a chair
and mat or towel. Menu options also allow you the choice to work the entire lower body,
just the legs and glutes or just the abs. A warm-up and cool-down are also included.

Dr. Michele Olson holds a PhD in Exercise Physiology, is a Fellow of the American
College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), and a Certified Strength and Conditioning
Specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). She
is also an esteemed Professor and Lead Researcher at the Auburn University
Montgomery Human Performance Lab where she has been involved in research, training
and teaching fitness for over 20 years. She is a former Reebok Master Trainer and known
internationally for her publications on step aerobics, injuries, body image, resistance
exercise and Pilates. Dr. Olson has published over eighty research papers in scholarly
