Homemade Cleaning Products Clean your home economically, naturally and completely chemically free! A class by Angela Svonavec of Thyme & Tradition, Ltd. In this fun & interactive class we will learn about the hazards of chemical cleaners and why not to use them. We’ll discuss healthy alternatives. There will be plenty of hands on time to make some of my favorite recipes for cleaning that each of you can take home to start using them in your homes. You’ll get copies of all the recipes we make as well as more for you to try on your own. Recipes we’ll make to take home will include: • an herbal carpet freshener, • an aromatherapy appliance cleaner, • a citrus sink scrub, • your a lavender soft scrub that your hands will love as much as your counter tops, • an aromatherapy dishwashing liquid, and • an all natural germ killer toilet bowl cleaner Who knew cleaning could sound so much like a Spa menu?? Use these easy to make products and your house will be germ free & beautifully aromatic, I promise! The Recipes Aromatherapy Dishwashing Liquid: Fill a 20 OZ. squirt bottle with liquid castille soap Add 15 drops lemon essential oil 6 drops bergamot essential oil 5 drops lavender essential oil Citrus Sink Scrub ¼ cup baking soda ½ cup vinegar 3drops lemon essential oil or ½ a fresh lemon squeezed Aromatherapy Appliance Cleaner Fill a spray bottle with: 1 tsp. liquid castile soap 3 Tbsp. vinegar ¼ c. lemon juice 2 cups water 4 drops orange essential oil 1 tsp. borax ( Shake well before each use. Spray on and wipe off with a damp sponge.) Lavender Soft Scrub ¾ cup baking soda ¼ c powdered milk 3 tbsp. liquid castile soap 6 drops of lavender Add enough water to make a paste. This one cleans, disinfects and softens the hands. All Natural Germ Killer Toilet Cleaner In a plastic spray bottle, combine 2 cups water with ¼ cup liquid castile 1 Tbsp tea tree essential oil 10 drops eucalyptus essential oil Herbal Carpet Freshener Mix 1 cup baking soda with 1 cup of your choice of dried herbs. (I like thyme and chamomile and lavender.) Sprinkle the mixture onto the carpets and leave overnight if possible. When you vacuum the bag will absorb the fragrance and freshen the air until you change the bag. Enjoy!!
