Workshop Instructor
The workshop instructor is Stephen Jones, P.E., Extension Civil Engineer, Department of Civil, Construction and
Environmental Engineering at Iowa State University. Steve was the primary author for the Iowa Stormwater
Manual and is an experienced user of the NRCS CN method for urban hydrology using the initial versions of
TR55 and now the newer version of WINTR55. Steve has designed a number of bioretention and porous
pavement systems, in addition to both traditional and extended detention systems for both quality and quantity
control. He is a licensed professional engineer in Iowa, and a long-time member of ASCE.
