US Youth Soccer
     - Never periods separating the “U” and “S”
     - “United States Youth Soccer Association” or “U.S. Youth Soccer Association” is used only in
        documents that directly affect the organization’s non-profit status.

      In a press release or article:
      Any and All Mentions – US Youth Soccer
      Incorrect: U.S. Youth Soccer, United States Youth Soccer Association, USYS or USYSA

Mission Statement
     It is the mission statement of US Youth Soccer to foster the physical, mental and emotional
     growth and development of America‟s youth through the sport of soccer at all levels of age and
     competition. US Youth Soccer is established as a non-profit and educational organization.

US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program
     - “US Youth Soccer” and “Olympic Development Program” or “ODP” are never separated.
        Examples of team name references are “Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association 1985
        US Youth Soccer ODP Boys team,” the “US Youth Soccer ODP ’86 Girls team
        representing/from Region II” or “Region IV US Youth Soccer ODP ’84 Girls team.”

     In a press release or article:
     First Mention - US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program
     Second Mention – US Youth Soccer ODP
     Incorrect – Simply referring to the program as “ODP.” Since ODP status was recently granted to
     other organizations, it is essential that the US Youth Soccer brand of ODP be recognized.

US Youth Soccer TOPSoccer
     - Although TOPSoccer stands for “The Outreach Program for Soccer”, only the word “Soccer”
        is spelled out. The acronym should be spelled out somewhere in the article or document.

     In a press release or article:

US Youth Soccer’s Soccer Start
     - Soccer Start is two separate words

        Soccer National League Director’s Cup.” The term “Director’s Cup” is reserved for this
        competition. Additionally, no reference to a “national championship” should be used in US
        Youth Soccer National League or Director’s Cup materials.
