BERWYN, Pa.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Vertex Inc., the leading provider of enterprise corporate tax
solutions, was named one of the “Top Workplaces 2010” in the first annual program sponsored by The Philadelphia
Inquirer, The Philadelphia Daily News, and Vertex ranks 18 out of 57 in comparison with other midsized
organizations in the Delaware Valley.

The results of the program are based solely on information provided from in-depth surveys completed by hundreds
of employees at each nominated company. Vertex employees gave the company’s policies high rankings for working
conditions, pay and benefits and direction of the organization. These summary results also provide an additional tool
in the ongoing assessment and implementation of policies and benefit programs currently offered at Vertex.

“Vertex works continuously to foster an environment where our people can thrive – both personally and
professionally – and our success is reflected in our ability to attract and retain top talent,” commented Vertex
President and CEO Jeff Westphal. “The fact that so many of our employees rated Vertex so positively is a testament
to the success of our corporate culture and our approach to doing business.”

While the program surveyed the 477 Philadelphia area employees, Vertex’s 650-plus employees across the globe all
enjoy a broad range of innovative policies and benefits designed to help them better manage the rigors and stress
brought on by life and work. Transcending traditional work/life balance issues, these workplace policies are

company also offers on-site daycare for employees in the Philadelphia area, recognition programs, mentoring
opportunities, and a training budget for every employee to support their needs and to encourage career growth.

With the recognition by “Top Workplaces”, Vertex adds to the growing list of prestigious recognition programs that
