Primary Role relates to our Sunday morning service:
    • Oversight, coordination, coaching, and recruiting of Sunday morning service Worship teams.
    • Development of each worship service occurs in the context of the Pastoral Staff meetings and continues
        with Design Team meetings.
    • Leading worship, coaching and developing worship leaders.
    • Oversight of the development of musicians through children’s and student ministry areas.
    • Staying up to date on worship trends.

Part-time role (a ½ time position [approx. 20 hours/week], with the possibility of up to a full-time component
through other leadership roles based on your gifting and our needs) commencing July 1, 2010.

The goal of our Sunday morning service is to:
    “Create a meaningful environment that provides people the opportunity to connect with God, one another,
    and the truth of God’s Word, resulting in growth in our corporate and individual journey of faith in Jesus
    Christ.” This is accomplished through (in no particular order of priority):
                • Preaching with relevance
                • Music with excellence
                • Connection with Intention
                • Diverse Participation

Living Hope Alliance Church finds itself in a unique situation. We are an established church that has been in Regina
for over 80 years. Our new location (since 2001) in the east end of this vibrant city finds us in the middle of an
initial development that will surround us with 5000-8000 people within the next 15 years. In that sense, we are

Applicants should have Bible college and/or seminary training. If you do not already have accreditation with the
Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Canada that will need to be processed prior to a final decision. See pages
40-43 of the C&MA in Canada Manual ( http://cmalliance.ca/manualofthecmaincanadadocp195.php ). The
applicant will also be asked to submit a Ministry Match assessment.

The applicant is expected to possess advanced skills and formal training in music leadership with appreciation for
thematic integration of music, teaching and media in worship. Necessary skills include the ability to recruit and
develop vocalists and instrumentalists. We are looking for a person who has a balanced appreciation for and
experience in leading a variety of church music genres (traditional and contemporary). We lean towards the
contemporary side of “blended”. Please have a recording of your vocal and instrumental abilities upon request.

Typically the topics for Sunday sermons are planned at least six months in advance. The current four worship
teams work on a four-week cycle leading up to their ministry on a Sunday morning. Worship team leaders meet
with the Senior Pastor as a collective Design Team two to three times per month.

Pastoral Team Responsibilities:
    • Weekly Staff Prayer Time
    • Bi-weekly pastoral staff meeting
    • Bi-weekly one-on-one meeting with the Senior Pastor
    • Monthly reports submitted to Senior Pastor
    • Annual Ministry Goals & Work Plan
    • 3 month probationary term to start
    • 2 year cycle of staff review and evaluation.
