The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea extends contract with neutral vendor

17th February, 2009 – The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has extended
its contract with Comensura to manage its temporary recruitment process.
Comensura, the UK's market leader in the procurement and management of indirect
services, anticipates that it will enable the Royal Borough to make additional savings
of approximately £200,000 in 2008/9, thanks to its ability to provide improved
efficiency across the Royal Borough’s agency staff procurement processes.

With government organisations under increasing pressure to deliver substantial
efficiency savings, the issue of recruitment is high on the agenda. In order to deliver
these savings the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea decided to change its
temporary recruitment strategy in 2006 to be more efficient and gain greater central
control over the supply of workers.

“The Comensura solution has reduced the amount we previously spent on the
procurement of temporary staff. It automates a lot of the processes involved,
therefore reducing the huge amount of administration associated with procurement,”
said Keeley Cooper, Recruitment Manager at the Royal Borough. “Introducing an IT
led system has meant that we now have greater visibility over our management of
temporary workers.”

Comensura offers a combination of managed services and a sophisticated
technology platform that together manages the entire process for the procurement of
agency workers. It enables key functions to be automated, and monitors and ranks
supplier agencies against key criteria including cost, responsiveness and the calibre
of candidates to create a dynamic competitive supplier chain that helps assure the
delivery of quality workers.

Jamie Horton, CEO of Comensura says: “Our service offering has already enabled
the Royal Borough to reduce the costs associated with recruiting temporary staff by
helping it to streamline the administrative processes involved. We are very pleased
that they are happy with our service and are continuing to work with us.”
Comensura is well established as a leading provider of temporary staffing solutions.
It offers access to its services through an innovative gain share pricing model. No
upfront fees are payable; instead Comensura retains a share of the savings that it
generates on behalf of the client.
