Today’s Technologies in Radio Broadcasting
The Future – IP-Based Production

A technology that is gaining an increasingly large market share in
                             radio broadcasting

For signal transport, the IP system uses existing computer infrastructure
as DTR workstations & servers and office computers.
Mainly because of the widespread availability of computer technologies,
an IP audio system is cost-effective to implement, support and operate.

                                                                              7

The Future – IP-Based Production

        A simple example is
a 16 pair audio cable is
        replaced by a single
        CAT-5 computer cable.

The Future – IP-Based Production

   An IP-based networking
   audio system can be
   configured, modified and
   upgraded much more
   easily than a traditional
   fixed studio installation.
   All the audio routing
   would be implemented
   by standard computer
   switches
   In a multilevel topology,
an IP system is easily scalable
