During pregnancy the heart is pumping harder to provide extra blood to the legs and the uterus, as such a
woman may experience dizziness due to the lack of blood flow into the brain. Low blood sugar levels can also
                                             contribute to dizziness.

Tummy Tuck Surgery in San Diego
                                                                By David Smith

If you are like an increasing number of people in San Diego who are unhappy with their sagging
abdominal muscles and loose skin, you may be a candidate for tummy tuck surgery.

A tummy tuck, more formally known as abdominoplasty, is a procedure in which the surgeon reshapes
the abdominal muscles, removing excess skin and fat. The procedure can provide you with a more
pleasing contour and a flatter tummy. Not everyone is a good candidate for this procedure. Perhaps
you have wondered if a tummy tuck is right for you?

A good candidate for a tummy tuck is a person who has excessive skin or fat around their abdomen.
You should be in relatively good physical condition, and should have attempted other means to lose
your tummy, such as diet or exercise.

You should have realistic expectations going into the procedure. Having a flatter tummy will not change
your life, but it may boost your self-confidence. You should consider a tummy tuck only if you are
aware and can accept the fact that having a tummy tuck will not provide you with a “perfect” figure, only
an improved one.

If you have lost a lot of weight or are older, you may have excess or sagging skin on your abdomen
because of these factors. Abdominoplasty can be a great help in these situations.

Many women choose to have a tummy tuck in San Diego after having children. Pregnancy can stretch
abdominal muscles to the point that exercise will not help. Women with sagging abdominal muscles
are good candidates for abdominoplasty, but should consider having the procedure done only if they
are finished childbearing. Pregnancy and childbearing may undo the good results achieved from a
previous abdominoplasty.

There is some scarring involved with having a tummy tuck. However, the surgeon makes the incision in
an area where the incision is mostly hidden by a natural crease or fold. There may be health factors
that make you a poor surgical candidate. Only a surgeon can determine whether or not any health
problem you may have will disqualify you from having the procedure done. It is very important that the
surgeon is aware of any factors that may affect you during and after the surgery. After all, the goal is to
achieve a great result, but in a safe manner.

Tummy Tuck – A Quick Guide
                                                             By James Hunaban

A tummy tuck can be described as a rather serious medical procedure that numerous men and
women choose to undergo each year. Also known as abdominoplasty, tummy tuck is an operation to
remove excessive skin from the area of the lower and middle abdomen. There is also a procedure
called mini tummy tuck which is a comparatively smaller and less complicated operation which involves
removing a small amount of fat and skin and just a tightening up of the lower abdomen.

A standard tummy tuck procedure will hopefully restore the shape of your disfigured lower stomach by
getting rid of excess fat and skin which has accumulated around the lower abs; it consists of tightening
up the lower and middle abdomen and putting the naval back in its correct position. Some women will
choose tummy tuck surgery after pregnancy, as pregnancy can leave women with a slightly disfigured
stomach because of an accumulation of extra fat around the lower abdomen. This also has the effect
of stretching the skin and loosening up the abdominal muscles.

Although tummy tuck surgery is performed on both men and women, the procedure is usually
requested by women who have no intention to conceive any more children. Whatever their exact
motives, there are a lot of men and women thinking about having a tummy tuck done so that they can
be happier with their own bodies. With so many people out there that are having tummy tucks
performed you may find that it is a little difficult to find a suitably qualified doctor that is going to be able
to carry out the procedure that you require.

Be sure to ask your plastic surgeon plenty of questions regarding the tummy tuck procedure and the
possibility of any complications that could develop after the surgery. It may also be a good idea to talk
to your insurance company, informing them of your decision to undergo tummy tuck surgery, as it could
mean a rise in the cost of future premiums. As a tummy tuck involves surgery, you need to be sure that
you have exhausted all your other weight loss options, before you go ahead with it. Unfortunately the
scars from the surgery can be permanent following a full tummy tuck.
