Have you ever wished there were more hours in the day? At one time or another, we all have. No matter how much you fight it; there are only 24 hours in a day. The trick is to use those 24 hours to your advantage. All types of things can eat away at your time. Sickness, lack of sleep, personal problems or being too detailed are only a few of these. You Don't Have to be a Genius to Get Rich in Today's Economy. You Just Have to Know These 10... So how can a person maximize the time they have and use it wisely? The answer has many facets, so here are a few techniques you can use as a start to maximizing your time management skills. Plan your day ahead and deviate from that plan as little as possible. Set out precisely what it is you want to accomplish and go at it. Know what you need to do by listing the tasks at hand in an outline. This way, you will be able to plan your attack on the individual chores. Don't procrastinate about things that seem menial. By passing on the seemingly smaller things that come up during the day, you create a snowball effect. Before you know it, you are overwhelmed and out of control. Attack these things and just get them done. You will notice an immediate opening in your schedule. When you perform a task, do it right the first time through. So much time is lost in correcting silly mistakes or corners that were cut. What you thought was a time saver has now become a time killer. That time is lost and can never be gotten back again. Look at your time as money. Everybody's time is valuable, so assign your time a value and see how much gets wasted in bad time management. You may be surprised at what you find out with this one. By putting a dollar value on your time, the point is really driven home. Look at every task you need to perform as equally important to be completed. This

perspective creates a respect for the time you have at your disposal. If everything is equal, everything gets done at the same rate. When your brain is sleep deprived, your concentration is affected. Lack of concentration means you move slower on each individual task in front of you. Get enough sleep and you WILL get more done. Sleep studies have proved this over and over again. Get a planner and keep track of projects you are working on. This helps you keep on track for deadlines. Realize that multi-tasking is NOT impossible, just a matter of organization, planning ahead and staying on track. Each day, use a notepad to write down the things that you do. At the end of the day, review that list and see what cold have been done better or faster. You may also see where time sucking vortexes exist and can eliminate them! All of these techniques will help you to achieve the goal of feeling successful, happy and accomplished. When you have things done, you feel good about yourself and that drives self-confidence right through the roof! A more confident you is a more productive you and a more productive you is a more successful you! All because you managed your time and got things done.
