ENTRIES: To be received by the Secretary of the meeting, by post, before Friday 30 October together with the entry fee of
£20.00 and 2 stamped addressed envelopes. The maximum number of entries will be 130. Entries in reverse order of receipt. i.e
early entry = late number. .

START: The start will be at Wildboarclough, near Macclesfield. Signed from the A537 Macclesfield / Buxton and the A54
Congleton / Buxton road. Closest Post Code SK11 0BD. OS map ref SJ 987 686. The first rider will start at 9.01 AM the rest in
riding number order. The course will include use of public roads.
ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible competitors, must be over 17 and be resident in the Northern, North Western, North Eastern,
Yorkshire, East Yorkshire, Cheshire & North Wales, East Midland, Midland (Salop and Staffordshire only) or the Isle of Man
centres and be a member of any ACU Affiliated Club.
All riders must hold a current ACU Registration card or SACU Licence. Other riders must produce a licence and Start Permission
confirming Insurance from their FMN.
CLASSES:
There are two classes:- Northern Experts Class and Clubmen class:
Northern Experts Class
To qualify each rider must be a registered expert in any eligible centre.
Clubmen class
A rider eligible but who is not qualified by being a registered expert in any eligible centre to ride in the Northern Experts class or
who prefers to compete in the clubmen class.
AWARDS:
Northern Experts class
Best Solo Performance: Northern Experts Trophy Tenable for a year and £50 cash prize.
Runner Up: £30 cash. Third position: £25 cash. Fourth position: £15 cash.
An additional award of £15 if there are 41 - 50 starters, A further award of £15 if there are 51 - 60 starters etc, etc.
The Castrol Trophy: Best Manchester ‘17’ member on a solo machine.
The Edgar Trophy:

This is the 4 of 4 road trials run by Manchester 17 each year: Fisher Trophy 11 January, Dave Rowland 5 July, Hipwell Trial for the

Hartle Trophy 20 September and Northern Experts 7 November. Best performance on a solo machine over the 4 events will win
The ‘Edgar Trophy’ tenable for 1 year, a cash prize of £300 and a replica to keep. Points are awarded at each round using the same
system as the British Trials Championship
Clubmen Class
Best Performance : A suitable award. Runner Up: A suitable award. Ist Class awards to the next best 10% of starters.
