GETTING YOUR YOUNG LIVING WORLD (YLW) WEBSITE
Congratulations! You are embarking on a fun journey of health & wealth! • • Go to www.skydivaoils.com & click on WEBSITE SUBSCRIPTIONS (bottom left side menu) Click on ORDER WEBSITE (you will see a new window that says YLW Personal Website Subscription $40) o Note: the website subscription is renewed annually for $40. This is not an automatic renewal; you will be sent an email to remind you. o Complete information on this page, including credit card payment o On next page, you will be asked to create your OWN webpage by selecting a name (see below for details). For example: http://YOURNAMEHERE.younglivingworld.com • Note: the webpage above will be your “domain name”/”web address” Notice there is NOT a “www” before the address!
Steps to Build Your Own younglivingworld.com Website:
1. Pick a word or name to make your website address uniquely yours. For example: http://yourfavoriteword.younglivingworld.com http://yourname.younglivingworld.com http://anythingyoulike.younglivingworld.com 2. Fill out the Website Settings form after clicking the link below. 3. Once you have selected all the options you want, click on the "preview" button to see what your contact page will look like. If you want to make changes, just click on your "back" button and make the changes you want. 4. When finished, click on "save and close." Unless you've left out any critical information, or your URL has already been taken by someone else, this completes your website set up. Congratulations! (If you have left out any important information or you have chosen a URL already taken by someone else, you will get a message on your screen asking you to re-do your information to complete the set up process.)
New to Internet Terminology… The following terms mean the same thing & are interchangeable: URL, domain name, website/web address. Some people also call them “dotcoms” because this is the extension that is most popularly used. Note, there are many different extensions in the internet world: .biz, .net, .com, .info, .org, etc. It all depends on what you purchase.
CUSTOMIZING YOUR YOUNG LIVING WORLD (YLW) WEBSITE
There are 2 ways to customize your YLW website:
1. Personalization: you can add personalized pictures and comments to your site. 2. Purchase a unique website name and then forward this name to your YLW website address.
Personalizing Your Website
Adding personalized pictures and comments to your site is very simple. Just follow these steps: Go to your YLW website. Choose the link titled “Subscriber Log In”. This page can be accessed from http://younglivingworld.com. Enter your “User ID” (this is your Young Living Member #) and your “Password” (password may also be same as your Young Living Member #). Once you have logged in, choose PERSONAL WEBSITE, then YLW WEBSITE SETTINGS. Start typing! (Enter any and all information you wish to appear on your site.) You can also customize paragraphs, select a style for your home page, etc. NOTE: Any customized text must be reviewed by YoungLivingWorld.com to ensure it meets compliance standards (e.g. no medical claims made, etc.) If you wish to add a photo, send an email with your name & Young Living member # to: techsupport@younglivingworld.com. o NOTE: Photos must be in the file size/dimensions specified. They will then upload the photo to your website.
Purchase a Unique Domain Name
Purchasing a unique domain name can be done through any company that sells domain names, for example, www.godaddy.com. Domain names can cost from $1.99 to $9.99 depending on the type of name you buy (e.g. “.com” “.net” “.biz”, “.info”, etc.) This process is totally optional and not necessary for you to launch your new website and/or begin referring people to your site. However, there are some good reasons why people choose to use a unique domain name: o The website address given to ALL new Young Living World subscribers is always http://NAMEYOUCHOOSE.younglivingworld.com o In other words, whatever name you choose for your website address will always have the http://_______.younglivingworld.com surname behind it. o Note: there is no “www” in front of your domain name! Purchasing your own unique domain name makes good business sense and is internet marketing savvy! Marketing research has shown: o The more lengthy address might be hard to remember. o People wish the address were shorter and faster to write down, type, etc. o A longer name will be too hard for clients to memorize. For these reasons and more, some Young Living Distributors choose to use the services offered by an internet domain name seller.
Helpful Tips When You Purchase a Unique Domain Name…
Use the Domain Forwarding Service. This forwards your new unique domain name to your actual YLW website. For example: www.skydivaoils.com is “forwarded” to and opens as http://skydiva.younglivingworld.com . Domain forwarding is done through the company you use to buy your unique domain name. Buy a Domain name that you like & one that is catchy.

Here are examples of how a unique domain name might be useful to the Young Living Distributor with the above address: o Business cards show the address: www.skydivaoils.com rather than http://skydiva.younglivingworld.com o In a restaurant, the Young Living Distributor can say to the server, “Visit my website at www.skydivaoils.com” instead of saying, “Visit my website at http://skydiva.younglivingworld.com”. o The situation above can also apply to social settings, business networking functions, etc. o Or, when talking to a friend on the phone, the friend only has to remember and write down www.skydivaoils.com instead of http://skydiva.younglivingworld.com
More Tips Regarding Your Web Address:
o Make sure your web address is typed in the browser window, not in the Google window. This can be confusing to people because they may not go to your webpage if they type in the Google window, instead they may see a list of other Young Living distributor websites. Remember: put your web address on your business card! Add your web address to your email signature line. Below are some examples:
