37 YEARS OF SERVICE-SERVING TO REMEMBER AND REMEBERING TO SERVE!
For many years RSVP had several volunteers with a 30 year record. The trend has changed as our corps of
volunteers have aged. We have only one person with over 30 years of service, and 23 with under one year!
Today, our longest serving volunteer is Louise Noell with 32 years, 5 months. This illustrates to us we have
many new volunteers in our merry band. Let’s look at our volunteers with the most service hours, and thank
1. Margaret Puckette - 9,512 hours
2. Janice Johnson - 7,499 hours
3. Shirley Burnham - 5,828 hours

Getting to know your staff-
YOUR RSVP COORDINATOR - LYNNE BURNHAM
After almost 35 years with the county I have enjoyed the
last eight being with RSVP. Some of you knew me as the
Nutrition Director for 18 years, and some met me when I
was a senior center coordinator of Timbrook, Altavista or
Rustburg. I have spent all but one year of my professional
life working in some capacity with senior adults. I hail from
Glastonbury Connecticut and made my way to Lynchburg
College at the age of 17, and have been here ever since. I
have three Miniature Schnauzers and a Cocker-Docker
(half Cocker Spaniel , half Dashund). On my 55th birthday
it was my pleasure to join RSVP and live what I preach! If
I can ever be of service to you please don’t hesitate to call
