PUBLIC NOTICE OF MEETINGS

It is the intention of the Board to comply fully with the requirements of Article 7, Section 99, of the Public Officers Law, for informing the public in advance of meetings of the Board. The following are the minimum procedures to ensure compliance. Public notice of the time and place of a meeting scheduled at least one week prior thereto shall be given to the public and news media at least 72 hours before such meetings. A notice of meetings of the Board of Education will be posted conspicuously in the District Office and in the Senior High School. The Clerk of the Board will be responsible for making a record of the notice given prior to a meeting of the Board and will file said record of notice with the records of the Board of Education. A postcard notice of the time and place of meetings will be mailed to the Schenectady Gazette and other daily or weekly newspapers having substantial circulation within the school district. A copy of this news media notice will be kept on file for a calendar year.
