                           NOTICE OF CANCELLATION

NSS/HP-1740.1 NASA Aerospace Pressure Vessel Safety Standard, dated February
22, 1974 is canceled. Future acquisitions should cite American National Standards
Institute (ANSI)/American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) S-080-
1998, "Space Systems - Metallic Pressure Vessels, Pressurized Structures, and Pressure
Components" or other acceptable non-Government standard on Pressure Vessels.

NASA activities may obtain copies of the ANSI/AIAA S-080-1998 from the NASA
Technical Standards Program webpage at http://standards.nasa.gov/. The private sector
and other Government agencies may purchase copies from the AIAA, 1801 Alexander
