School Absence Data - FORVUS notice Please be aware that absence data are no longer collected through FORVUS. Absence data is now being collected through: a) the pupil-level School Census collections, on a termly retrospective basis, i.e. 07/08 Autumn term absence collected in completed Spring School Census 2008; 07/08 Spring Term absence collected in current Summer School Census 2008; 07/08 Summer Term (1st half) absence collected in Autumn School Census 2008; Note Absence data from special schools will be collected on an annual basis, i.e. 07/08 absence in Autumn School Census 2008; and b) LA Half-Termly (& Annual) Attendance collections (as per LA Attendance Team's needs) Guidance in relation to 2007/08 LA collection arrangements are as per link below http://www.lgfl.net/lgfl/leas/tower-hamlets/accounts/THe%20Grid/researchstatistics/homepage/home/#ATTENDANCE Implications In relation to School Achievement and Attainment Tables, that now publish schoollevel absence statistics based on School Census data, it is important that your school ensures that termly absence data, returned in the school census (as indicated above) is correct, as it will no longer be possible to amend absence data before the School Achievement and Attainment Tables are published i.e. via FORVUS. FORVUS indicate that any absence data submitted to them will be disregarded.
