							Notice to Proceed Narrative
After the Clerk of the Board has received and approved the Contractor’s Bonds and Insurance, and a contract has been entered into with the Construction Contractor, the Clerk of the Board will provide Keyboard notification to the Project Manager. The PM must issue a Notice to Proceed within 60 calendar days, per Article 6.01 of section 00500 of the Project Manual. A template Notice to Proceed (NTP) letter is provided. The NTP does more than just define the start and completion dates of the contract. The NTP letter is also used to define the authority of the PM and Inspector.
