Admission Requirements
1.1 Applicants should be 30 years or older by 1 August 2009 and have at least 5 “O” level passes
   including English Language.
1.2 Should be first attempts only.
1.3 Short-listed candidates will attend a selection test.

2.1   Admission Requirements

2.1.1 Applicants should have at least 5 “O” level passes including English Language and (Mathematics
      were applicable) and should meet at least one of the following requirements relevant to the
      programme applied for;
      a.   Possess academic qualifications obtained from a University or institution of similar status
           acceptable to Senate.
      b.   Possess a Certificate/Diploma in Education of the University at an Associate College of the
           University or any diploma qualification at National or Higher National level.
      c.   Possess a degree of this University or another discipline considered relevant.
      d.   For admission to the Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) programme, applicants must have
           satisfactorily completed the Diploma in Social Work.
      NB. Holders of foreign (pre-university) qualifications should apply through special entry
           unless they possess A Levels.
2.1.2 Applicants must give careful thought to their choice of programmes/subjects as selection will be
      on merit and applicants will be limited to one preference only.

                                                     Computer Science etc
MSc in Water Resources Engineering and Management (1½ yrs – 3yrs)                         A good first
degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences of equivalent.
Regional Masters in Mineral Production, Engineering & Mgt (Modularized 2-3 weeks/schedule)
                                                                  Good first degree in Engineering,
                                                           Geology or Business Studies. Holder o non

                                                           required to sit a qualifying exam.
MSc in Manufacturing Systems and Operations Management (1yr f/t 2yrs p/t) 2.1 in Mechanical or
                                                           Production Engineering. Applicants with a 3rd
                                                           class and relevant experience may be required
                                                           to sit a qualifying exam.
MSc in Renewable Energy (2yrs f/t)                         A good first degree and normally at least 2
                                               years relevant experience.
NB: A limited number of scholarships available on merit for SADC national for the MSc WREM
                                               programme.

Faculty of Science
4th Year Special Honours in Food Science and Technology (1yr f/t)               2.1 in BSc Food

4.   APPLICATIONS AND FURTHER INFORMATION

Application forms are available upon payment of a non-refundable fee as shown:

Special Entry, Mature Entry and Postgraduate Application Fee to be advised for Zimbabweans.
US$50.00 for foreigners. Foreigners cannot apply through the Mature Entry scheme nor pay
local fees. Only cash will be accepted.

The closing date for the receipt of completed application forms is 6 February 2009 and late application
forms is 13 February 2009.
