MV Transportation, Inc. retains contract in Corpus Christi
(Corpus Christi, TX ‐‐‐ September 8, 2008) The Corpus Christi Regional Transportation
Authority has again selected MV Transportation, Inc. to manage and operate its demand
responsive and partial fixed route transportation – a $16.5 million contract.
Under the terms of the five‐year contract, MV will provide service to more than 16,000
passengers monthly – covering a service area of more than 800 square miles. MV will
begin the new contract with the CCRTA on January 1, 2009.

Over the past five years, MV worked in partnership with the Authority to increase on‐
time performance, improve the maintenance program, and implement technology such
as the DriveCam Video System to reinforce its focus on safety. Moving into the next
contract term, MV will provide new options to increase customer service, technological
innovations to enhance the overall transportation experience, and community outreach
specific to the area. MV will also put new emergency precautions into place – including
mock emergency drills, National Incident Management System training, and a
customized hurricane plan.
This contract is one of two operated by MV in Texas. MV also operates and manages
transportation services in the City of Port Author.
