  Each Municipality will negotiate a different package containing its own structuring for tax
purposes or otherwise. This annexure is merely illustrative of the kind of items that can be
included in a remuneration package. Each Municipality is free to arrange its own layout. It
is a requirement of law that deductions, including deductions for tax, be stipulated in a
contract of employment.
