CONTRACT OF RETAINER BETWEEN: Marwan Zarif, Immigration Consultant And Client’s Name 1. I understand that I have retained the firm, and not just an individual consultant, and that other consultants and staff may work on my case. 3. I understand that the fees for service are structured as follows: Consultant Fee Case Processing RPRF Visa Other The service provided by the consultant or CIC is non-refundable and it is based on completing and filling the documents. It is not based on approval nor there is a guarantee for success of the application. Consultant fees are inclusive. It covers disbursement cost such as copying, mail, phone calls and faxes. RPRF could be refundable by CIC. 4. I understand that if I am dissatisfied with the amount I have the right to have that account assessed by the consultant’s professional society. 5. I understand that before work begins under this retainer, I am required to pay a deposit of $_____________ to be credited against accounts when rendered. I understand that I may be required to provide future deposits from time to time to cover future fees and disbursements. 6. I understand that I must pay accounts promptly when they are rendered and that interest is chargeable on overdue accounts at the rate of 18 per cent per year.
7. I understand that it is my obligation, on receiving advice and being asked for instructions, to provide you with instructions as requested. 8. Authorization. You authorize and direct us to take all actions on your behalf, as we deem advisable. We will promptly notify you of important events relating to any matter we have undertaken for you, and will discuss with you in advance all significant actions or decisions to be taken. We retain the right to withdraw from representation, consistent with the applicable Rules of Professional Responsibility, in the event you insist that we take actions or measures contrary to our advice. 9. Confidentiality. All communication between yourself and this Firm (including consultants and other employees of this Firm) is privileged and will be kept strictly confidential to the greatest extent allowed by law pursuant to the Rules of our professional body (CSIC). Subject to legal limitations, no information arising out of our Consultant-Client relationship will be divulged to any third party without your prior permission. 10. Conflicting Engagements. Without your prior approval, we will not undertake any engagement known for us to be in conflict with your interests in matters we have undertaken for you. 11. Termination. The relationship set forth in this letter is subject to termination as follows: You may terminate this arrangement at any time for any reason (including our failure to comply with the applicable provisions set forth in this letter) by giving us written Notice of Termination. We may withdraw from representing you if you do not comply with the applicable provisions set forth in this letter. We will give you written notice of any such withdrawal. If termination occurs, you will promptly pay us for all fees and charges incurred through the date of termination, and we shall return any unused retainer funds to you. We shall cooperate with successor Immigration Consultants to effect a smooth transition of the representation. Please be advised that if you do not pay fees and charges incurred through the date of termination, the Consultant may exercise his right to have a lien against the files and retain them, in certain instances, until the bill is paid. 12. Miscellaneous. The entire agreement between us is set forth in this Retainer Agreement. Any other representation or statement, whether written or oral, is not binding. This Retainer may not be modified except in writing, signed by you and us.
