Please print clearly Name ______________________________________________________________ Address ___________________________________________Apt ____________ City ______________________ State ____________ Zip ____________ Daytime Phone ___________________ Evening Phone ___________________ E-mail ______________________________________________________________ I, _______________________ commit to membership in the Long Bean Farm CSA for the 2006 Harvest season of mid - March thru mid – December. As a member, I commit myself to supporting the farm with timely payments. In addition, I commit to pick up my weekly delivery at the Long Bean Farm, CSA city office at 802 Ethel Blvd, Bryan TX, 77802, each Tuesday between 4pm and 7 pm. I understand that if I do not pick up my share it will be donated to a low-income family or an emergency food provider. I do not expect to have my share saved. As a member of the CSA, I will receive a weekly share (for 30 weeks more or less) consisting of approximately 3-10 pounds of vegetables per week, an average of 3-6 items per week. The shares will vary in size and weight depending on the time of the season. During the summer heat of July – August harvest will be smaller or none at all. However, the harvests will start again about mid September – December. I understand that the variety of vegetables I receive is dependent on growing conditions that vary from season to season and that the risks and benefits of the harvest are shared. I understand that I am involved in a bio-system that is dependent on weather and other environmental factors and as such there is risk of crop failure. Should this happen I understand that there will be no refunds and share size could be greatly impacted. The Standard Share price includes an administrative fee, which will be use to subsidize low-income shares and to defray the cost of running the CSA. By participating in a mixed income CSA, I am supporting the local farmer as well as more equitable food distribution and I am helping to create a more environmentally just, economically fair and healthy society.
