CONTRACT FOR THE REMOVAL AND STORAGE OF FURNITURE
Darlington Borough Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced contractors who wish to be considered for selection to tender for the above contract. The contract will be for a period of three years initially, commencing 1st September 2008, with an option to extend by two twelve-month periods. This contract is initially being let by Darlington Borough Council, however access to this contract maybe extended to other authorities within the Tees Valley, consisting of the following organisations; . The requirements will vary from authority to authority and there is no guarantee that all Councils will participate in this contract in the future. Darlington Borough Council will only be responsible for their list of contract requirements. All other authorities will be responsible for their individual requirements and contract arrangements. The Contract is divided into separate Lots according to geographical area. Tenderers have the option of bidding for all Lots or alternatively they may bid only for the Lots of those Authorities which are of interest to them and which may be beneficial to them in terms of their location and operational area. The contract will encompass the following: Removal and storage of homeless clients furniture. Removal and storage of resident’s furniture during redevelopment/refurbishment work on their homes. Removal and storage of office furniture Removal and storage of school furniture Movement of furniture within an office/school during a re-organisation/refurbishment project Disposal of surplus/unwanted furniture, using high quality sustainable and cost effective methods Stockton on Tees Borough Council Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council Hartlepool Borough Council Middlesbrough Borough Council Cleveland Police Any Housing Associations or Service Providers working in partnership with the above authorities.
This is a restricted procedure and inclusion on a short list will be determined by completion of a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ).
