Breeding methods: Live cover is available under most circumstances. Artificial insemination may
also be used upon request of mare owner, for the safety of mare and stallion or due to high demand
for semen.
 If the behavior of the mare or stallion constitutes a risk to the other, the stallion owner
reserves the right to have the stallion collected by the attending veterinarian and breed the
mare artificially. The mare owner will be contacted prior to collection and shall be
responsible for collection and breeding costs.
 If the number of mares to be bred at a given time exceeds the capabilities of live cover, the
attending veterinarian will collect the stallion and breed the mares artificially. The cost of
collection will be split evenly among all mare owners.

Fees for collection & shipment: The fees for collection and shipment of cooled semen must be
prepaid. Attending vet is Dr. Margie Jones of Northern Hills Vet, Sturgis, SD: 605-347-3606.
