The distinguished panelists are:

Dr Tor Lam Huat, Chairman, L.D. Waxson

Dr Tor is an individual with exceptional achievements. In the mid 80s, Dr Tor successfully
introduced Ginvera, which became a household name in Singapore and Malaysia and in 2003;
he launched the Bio-essence skin care series which took the skin care industry by storm. Under
Singapore's brand ranking, Bio-essence managed to break into what was previously dominated
by the big international players and was ranked fourth after Olay, L'Oreal and Neutrogena.
Formerly a bankrupt, Dr Tor's "never say die" attitude enabled him to spring back with
confidence and was even granted a special mention in the 2005 Entrepreneur of the Year
Award organized by the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises and the Rotary Club of
Singapore.



Mr Thomas Fernandez, Managing Director, PestBusters

Having a wealth of experience in the Pest Management business, Mr Thomas Fernandez is also
the founder of the Singapore Pest Control Association. His relentless efforts to pursue
excellence had earned him recognition from both the Pest Management industry as well as the
Singapore government. Within 10 years, he has gained the status of a PSME (Promising Small
and Medium Enterprise) from the Productivity and Standards Board (Singapore). He has also
received numerous awards for his outstanding stewardship including the Top 10 Entrepreneur
of the Year Award (2001) and National Training Award (2000). Mr Fernandez is passionate
about promoting the need for Singapore entrepreneurs to excel and grow beyond the region.



Mr Eddie Chau, Group President and CEO, e-Cop Pte Ltd

Mr Eddie Chau is a very successful technopreneur in the lCT (Information and Communications
Technology) Security space. Under his leadership, e-Cop, a leading provider of infocomm
security technology and services, was awarded the prestigious National Infocomm Award 2005.
Before founding e-Cop in 2000, Mr Chau held senior positions in the IT sector, most recently as
General Manager of IBM - Tivoli Systems (ASEAN/South Asia), and Regional Vice President,
Sales and Marketing (Asia) for interBiz, Computer Associates Inc. With over 18 years of
experience in business and IT, he is often called upon by the industry to speak on information
security issues. Mr Chau has been interviewed extensively by the media including CNBC Asia,
Channel News Asia, CIO Asia, Intelligent Enterprise, MIS Asia, Network Computing Asia and
SC Magazine.
