"Snack Shack Ticket Program"
Redwood City Girls Softball League Snack Shack Ticket Program RCGSL is excited to be able to offer our teams the ability to purchase Snack Shack Tickets in advance for your players to receive a snack after each game. We feel this great opportunity to benefit your team and the league. By purchasing your snack tickets in advance, you will be able to eliminate a rotating snack schedule and the occasional problem that sometimes snacks are forgotten. Your RCGSL Snack Shack Team has designed the program to make it simple and easy for your team to purchase snacks whether they are playing at Woodside or Adelante. The Snack Shack is available at the Woodside High School fields. However if your game is at Adelante you will need to designate a parent to pick up your team’s snacks at the snack shack prior to your game. No pre-ordering necessary. Show up on game day and we will complete your order promptly. The ticket price per child per game will be $2.00 (same as last year!). This will entitle them to pick two kid friendly snacks along with a bottled water or juice box. Based on the typical costs associated with providing snacks for an entire team, we feel this price is a great value for our families. No having to rush to the store to pick up snacks! There is a slight change this year. Last year we asked that each team had 100% participation or don’t participate. This year not all team members need to participate. However, remember this is a great program for the league and the kids really like receiving the tickets. For those team members that would like to participate, please complete the attached form, one form per team, with a check for the full amount made out to RCGSL by February 28th and mail it to: Snack Shack Ticket Program Attn: Katey Masarie 250 Jeter Street Redwood City, Ca 94062 The team Snack Shack Coordinator can pick the snack shack tickets from the snack shack during the Opening Day Celebration on Saturday, March 6th. We hope this letter will help you to understand how the Snack Shack Ticket Program will work. The Snack Shack volunteer schedule, which requires each team to provide volunteers to help cover our Snack Shack during the season will be going out soon. We are still finalizing practice and games schedules. Please be on the look out for this! The Snack Shack Coordinator is responsible for your teams tickets. Please DO NOT hand them out to the parents or players beforehand. Should a parent forget the ticket on game day the child will not be able to get their snack. No snacks will be given out without a ticket. We recommend creating a separate envelope for each game with the number of tickets you will need for all of your players on each game day so you are set for the whole season. If your game is scheduled at WOODSIDE: Please distribute a ticket to each girl after the game and direct them over to the Snack Shack to pick out their two snacks and a drink. We will have a designated line at the Snack Shack for the ticket program to facilitate quick service. If your game is scheduled at ADELANTE: Please read over the menu list, see below, the snacks available to teams playing at Adelante are the same as those available at Woodside. You may send a designated parent to pick up your snacks at the Woodside field snack shack before your game. No pre-ordering necessary. Several of the snacks are from a variety packs, so you will receive a mix of flavors should you choose one of the snacks from a variety pack. Please refer to the league schedule which will be posted later this month on our web site to determine when your team is playing at Adelante. Finally, if you order frozen Gogurts, string cheese or mini candy bars the person picking up your order will want to have a small cooler to store those snacks in during the game, especially as we move into the warmer months. Snacks CANNOT be given out without Snack Shack Tickets. Please DO NOT send a team representative to the Snack Shack to pick up snacks without tickets. VOLUNTEERING: If you are participating in the ticket program your team will need to volunteer for three, two hour shifts over the course of the season. The Team Snack Shack Coordinator will coordinate with the families on your team and find out who is willing to work at the Snack Shack. Once you have identified your volunteers, work with them directly to find out what dates and times they prefer. We will provide you with an on-line sign up sheet. This will be provided to you soon. We are still working on the practice and games schedules. Since sign-ups will be done on a first come first serve basis, please plan to have several dates and times chosen.
