o The junior varsity boys' basketball team lost to Vergennes.
In tonight's sports:
o The girls' ice hockey team will travel to BFA for a playoff game.
The game starts at 7:00.
o The boys' ice hockey team will start their playoff run by hosting
Middlebury. Game time is 6:00.
Attention Middle School Students: The Crossroads After School
Program will continue after February vacation on March 8th, the first
FULL week of school. There will be no Crossroads programming on
Wednesday or Thursday, March 3rd and 4th.

traveling to Europe during winter break. We wish them a safe and
successful journey and encourage them to share their adventures when

We had a 4-way tie today, all 4 groups with 100 % participation (Lund,
Beyor, Eichorn, Miller), and the winner by random drawing was MRS.
BEYORS class. A check for $50 will be sent to the American Red Cross
in your name. Great job everybody!
Just a reminder to all Mr. Thunderbird contestants that there will be a
group picture taken today at 2:30 pm. Please meet in the Commons at
that time. Also, there’s a practice tomorrow at 11:00 am – 12:30 pm
and individual pictures will be taken at that time.
Highgate Recreation. Teen Skate (6th -12th graders). Saturday,
February 27th. 7pm-10pm. $5 per skater.
Intramural volleyball teams have been picked and are posted throughout
the building. The tournament starts on Wednesday March 3rd right after
school. All teams should be in the gym by 3:00.
Spring sport sign-ups are in the high school office area. Athletes should
check in with the nurse to see if their physical is up to date.
The Franklin Region Career / Job Expo will be taking place at the Collins Perley
Complex on March 25th. Signups will be taking place in the Guidance office from
March 3rd to March 12th.
BIG CHANGE ROUND UP ! There is a collection bag in the Middle School Office for
anyone interested in donating to the Vermont Childrens Hospital. Thank you in
advance for your support.
The time of the Middle School Faculty / Student Basketball game on Friday, 2/19
has been changed to 1:15
Attention all students and staff: our annual “Spring-Fling Volleyball Tournament” is
being held March 13th. There is a competitive and non-competitive league. Cost is
$60.00 entry fee and rosters can be turned into Mrs. Gagne anytime.
We will be holding an “MVU’s Got Talent Show” on March 25th. Anyone who is
interested in grades 7 through 12 as well as staff, can sign up on the bulletin board
outside of D-pod. There are only 25 spaces available so hurry! Audition times will
be announced at a later date.
Attention Seniors: Applications for the Kidney Foundation and Dottie Lourie
Memorial scholarships are now available in guidance. Applications are due March 31,
The new date for the Semi Formal Winter Ball is March 6th from 8:00 pm to
midnight at the American Legion in St. Albans. Tickets will be sold in the commons
through the 19th on a first come first serve basis. Cost is $15.00 per person.
