									                        NEW HAMPSHIRE QUARTER HORSE ASSOCIATION
                           SCHEDULE FOR YEAR END AWARDS 2010
                                  -OPEN SHOW CIRCUIT-

 NHQHA will recognize the cumulative efforts of its members participating in Open/Fun shows, taking place in the
  State of New Hampshire that are not already included in our NHQHA/AQHA Show Circuit. Open/Fun Shows are
   defined as any recognized, public horse show, with recognized judges in New Hampshire. Examples of shows
include but are not limited to; 4H Shows, Silver Heels, Lakes Regions, Oakrise, White Mountain, EMRHA, NH Stock
                 Horse, Southern NH Dressage, NH Hunter Jumper, NHHTA and agricultural fairs.

                Exhibitors may show in up to ten (10) open/fun shows of your choice in NH.
                                Year end awards will be given in 18 Divisions.
  Attendance in one (1) NHQHA sponsored open show listed below is required for any points to be counted.
                Additionally, exhibitors in any of these shows will have their points doubled.
       -NHQHA/AQHA Novice and All Breed/Open Show – Open Classes only May 16, 2010
       -NHQHA/AQHA Novice and All Breed/Open Show – Open Classes only September 18, 2010

   A. All exhibitors competing toward year-end awards must be NHQHA members in good standing and
      residents of the State of New Hampshire.
   B. The horse must be registered with AQHA.
   C. Points will not be counted until membership and Intent to Show Forms are received by NHQHA and paid
      in full.
   D. All points will be accrued by the same horse/rider combination.
   E. Exhibitors must show under one (1) NHQHA judge to qualify for year-end awards. Example: attend one
      NHQHA Novice/All Breed Open Show.
   F. Exhibitors must accumulate at least (2) points to qualify for Championship awards and at least one (1)
      point to qualify for a Reserve Championship in any classes shown.

   G. Points will be awarded for shows held between April 1 and October 15 .
   H. Open Show Circuit participants will be required to submit the appropriate reporting form to the NHQHA
      Points Secretary within thirty (30)days of the show. Points will then be posted on the NHQHA website.
   I. Any discrepancies must be addressed, in writing, to the Points Secretary, within thirty days.
   J. If there is a tie for year-end awards, the Points Secretary will take the exhibitor with the highest average
      per class to break the tie. Example 10 points earned in 5 classes will override 10 points earned in 10
      classes.
   K. If an exhibitor wishes to move up into a higher division during the same show season, the lower division
      points will be forfeited.

        Eligible classes: Pleasure, Horsemanship/Equitation, Trail, Showmanship, Halter
5. Walk Trot Gymkhana 18 and under
        Eligible classes: Walk Trot Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Stake Race, Egg and Spoon, Command
6. Walk Trot Gymkhana 19 and over
        Eligible classes: Walk Trot Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Stake Race, Egg and Spoon, Command

Youth Events 18 and under
7. English Events 18 and under
        Eligible classes: English Halter, Pleasure, Equitation, Trail and Showmanship
8. Western Events 18 and under
        Eligible classes: Western Halter, Pleasure, Western Riding, Horsemanship, Trail, Showmanship
9. Over Fences 18 and under
        Eligible classes: any fences class; i.e. Hunter Hack, Equitation Over Fences, etc.
10. Gymkhana 18 and under
        Eligible classes: Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Stake Race, Egg and Spoon, Command
11. Ranch/Stock Events 18 and under
        Eligible classes: Conformation/halter, Pleasure, Trail, Reining, Cutting, Ranch Riding, Working
        Ranch and Working Cow
12. Dressage 18 and under
        Eligible classes: Conformation/halter, English Pleasure, Equitation, Suitability, Sport Horse,
        Dressage

Adult Events 19 and over
