Instructions for working with the Earmark Evaluation Template Open document entitled “Evaluation Template for Earmark Grantees” in Microsoft Word. Instructions for completing the template are included in the document as pop up documents. To get to the pop up instructions for each section you will have to complete the following steps: RIGHT CLICK on any blue icon, and click OPEN HYPERLINK. (Some versions of Word may require you to RIGHT CLICK on the blue icon, highlight HYPERLINK, then click OPEN IN NEW WINDOW). For example, for overall information on Section 1, RIGHT CLICK on OR Instructions for that section will open up in a separate window. When you are done with reading the instructions, you can either print a copy by choosing (FILE, PRINT) or you can close the window by choosing (FILE, CLOSE). Closing the window will take you back to the Evaluation Template. All underlined words are defined. To see the definition, DOUBLE CLICK on the word, and click OPEN IN NEW WINDOW. Once you are done reading the definition, you can either print a copy by choosing (FILE, PRINT) or you can close the window by choosing (FILE, CLOSE). Closing the window will take you back to the Evaluation Template. When you are finished with writing your report, you will need to save the document onto the disk you are working on. Choose FILE, SAVE AS and give your document a new name. This will save your report as a new document. REMBEMBER: Do not change any of the formatting in the document. When you are done with any particular section, you can move on to the next item on the template. The template will automatically create page breaks for your text. You will be able to write as much or as little as you would like.
