Abtract
18 sows were selected from 16 farmers at 5 hamlets, Tan phu Thanh village, Chau Thanh district, Can tho province for experimental design on 331 piglets diarrhea prevention and on 222 piglets diarrhea treatment. Piglets from sows vaccinated with Neocolipor could prevention from diarrhea. Using Biosubtyl combine with improving hygienic condition could reduce piglets (please consider piglet’s or piglets’) diarrhea. And (please consider In addition) antibiotics such as genta-colinro, colistin had good effected on 100% piglets diarrhea recover after 3 days treatment. Therefore, farmers in Tan Phu Thanh village should be used gentacolenro, colistin for treatment of piglets (please consider piglet’s or piglets’) diarrhea. 1.
Introduction
Enterobacteria causing diarrhea in piglets is a big problem in many farms in Tan Phu Thanh village. Diarrhea in piglets is not only cause lost money for treatment but also decrease growth rate and easy cause second infection. Percentage of isolates had been shown E. coli, Enterobacter, Klebsiella, Salmonella, which were 66.66%, 40.74%, 3.70%, 3.70%, respectively causing diarrhea in piglets. And antibiotics susceptibility of bacteria causing diarrhea are amikacin, norfloxacin, gentamycin, chloramphenicol, neomycin, nitrofurantoin, colistin (Chau Ba Loc, Ly Thi Lien Khai, Tran Thi Phan, 2000). Now there are a lot of kinds of antibiotics comercial available using for prevention and treatment of piglets diarrhea. For determining what kind of antibiotics giving the best result on treatment and prevention of piglets diarrhea in Tan Phu Thanh is still very important and necessary. For help farmers who want to know what antibiotics they must use for treatment of piglets diarrhea in Tan Phu Thanh village. This study was conducted to determine the best antibiotics using for prevention and treatment of piglet diarrhea causing by enterobacteria in Tan Phu Thanh village, Chau Thanh District, Cantho Province, Vietnam.
2. Materials and Methods
Total of 10 sows from 10 farmers in Phu Thanh and Phu Låi hamlets were selected for experimental design on 331 piglets diarrhea prevention. And total 8 sows from 6 farmers in Phu Loi, Phu Thanh, Tan Thanh Dong, Thaûnh phuï, Tán Thaûnh táy hamlets, Tan Phu Thanh village were selected for experimental design on 222 piglets diarrhea treatment. Experimental design For diarrhea prevention: Diarrhea prevention by synthetic method such as sanitation, care for and vaccine. * By Sanitation, feeding, care for:

Incubated piglet by using dried banana leaf, keep piglet in good condition, avoid rain and draught. Sow feeding: guide the farmer to feed sow in right way. Care for sow: deep sanitaion of pen before and after farrow. Care for piglets: neonatal piglets were kept in warm condition by using dried banana leaf. At 3 and 10 day old piglets were injected iron 1ml per one. At 7 to 10 day old piglets were started feeding. Piglets were vaccinated as follow the vaccine procedure 28- 30 day old: Hog cholerae, 35-37 day old: Salmonellosis, 40-42 day old: Pasterellosis. * By using Vaccine Neocolipor Table 1. 3. Results
and discussions
Results obtained from our works showed the effective of Neocolipor vaccine on prevention of piglets (please consider piglet’s or piglets’) diarrhea. The result was shown in table 4 Table 4. In this study, Neocolipor vaccine could be prevented diarrheal piglets in Tan Phu Thanh village through received antibody from vaccinated sows. The significant different between piglets of vaccinated and of control sows is level 1%. The effective of Biosubtyl and improve care for condition for piglets diarrheal prevention was presented in table 5. Table 5. The results of the study indicated that biosubtyl combining with improve piglets (please consider piglet’s or piglets’) health care by sanitation and using dried banana leaf for warm keeping could reduce the piglets diarrhea. Hygienic procedures can reduce the incidence of the disease, they cannot eliminate outbreaks entirely (Schmidt and Freese, 1983). The significant different between two treatments is level 5%. The farmers in Tan Phu Thanh village should improve piglets (please consider piglet’s or piglets’) health care by hygiene and warm keeping by using local materials such as dried banana leafs combine with biosubtyl to improve diarrheal piglets situation. Because Biosubtyl was stable bacteria in piglets intestine, to control harmful bacteria causing diarrhea.(←consider revising) The result of treatment piglets (please consider piglet’s or piglets’) diarrhea by using antibiotics was presented in table 6. The study showed that gentamycin, colistin very effective to all cases of diarrheic piglets in Tan Phu Thanh. And norflocacine 2% was moderately sensitive to bacteria causing diarrhea.This agreed with finding of Bailey,Silvanose, Wernery, samour, Naldo (1998); Blood and radostits (1990); Fairbrother, (1992).
