identify the most appropriate pathway towards achieving EYPS.
Please complete this section as thoroughly and thoughtfully as possible. The final decision on the
pathway will be made following your face to face diagnostic assessment. Please note that staff
employed in Primary Schools which are not designated Children’s Centres are not currently eligible
for this course.

Candidates should note that provision within the short, long and full-time
pathways will be tailored to address individual needs. Additional study will be
provided from within our existing portfolio of early childhood modules at
undergraduate and postgraduate levels which are delivered on a part-time basis
and mostly in the evening. Undergraduate modules are available by distance
learning. Candidates will also receive the support of a mentor, project manager
and tutors.

Funding for the EYPS provision is granted against government priorities and
the key target groups are those working in Children’s Centres, settings offering
full day care and the private and voluntary sectors. More details of funding can
be found on the CWDC website. Provision for eligible candidates will be fully
funded and supply cover will be paid to settings to release you.


Concerns about eligibility should not stop you applying as we will
assess this on receiving your application.
