Our priority is to ensure patient safety while this much-needed and long-overdue transformation takes place, but some disruption and noise is inevitable. We are sorry about this please bear with us. If you are concerned about the effect of the building work on your care while you are in hospital, please tell a member of staff. The map overleaf shows you which buildings, entrances and public streets are affected by the construction work - signs at the hospital will also help you find your way round. Getting to The Royal London If at all possible, please use public transport to come into hospital, or ask someone to drop you off. Tube: Whitechapel underground station is opposite the hospital’s main entrance on Whitechapel Road. The following tube lines run to Whitechapel tube station: the Hammersmith and City line, District line and the East London line (closing December 2007). Buses: The following buses stop outside or close to the hospital on Whitechapel Road: numbers 25, 106, 205, 253 and 254 as well as night buses N25, N106 and N253. Bus numbers 15, 115 and D3 stop close to the hospital on Commercial Road. Low-floor wheelchair accessible buses run on all routes serving The Royal London Hospital. Drop-off point for taxis and cars: • Inpatients please use the main front entrance on Whitechapel Road. • Outpatients please use Stepney Way from New Road. Pedestrian access: For your safety, please use the main entrance on Whitechapel Road. Parking: There is no public parking at the hospital itself, but there is metered parking in surrounding streets.
