employer you will not have to pay for the training undertaken. In some cases as an employer you may also be eligible
for wage compensation whilst the employee is at College and away from your workplace.

• Partially Funded

and who are undertaking a NVQ Level 2 or progressing on to a NVQ Level 3 programme, or who are aged over

The college has two great business training centres situated at Vantage Point, Paignton and Courtney Street, Newton Abbot.

Skills for Life
Free help and support is available for employees who need to improve their mathematics, reading or writing skills.
Improving numeracy and literacy skills can help increase an employee’s salary, enhance career development and increase
self confidence.

Areas that are covered include problem solving skills, working effectively in teams, identifying strategies for improving
learning and performance, communication, numbers and IT skills. Communication skills of listening, reading and writing
are developed so that the employee can give and follow instructions more effectively, improve use of grammar,
punctuation and spelling and gain a better understanding of written material. An ability to work more effectively with
numbers including calculating a quantity of items and comparing data will enable increased confidence in the workplace.
