NNIVERJuneRY WEST E
10TH A Sunday 25 SA
Saturday 9 to
Glasgow’s largest cultural event is expected to exceed 2005’s
400 events. The spectacular opening display on Sunday
11 June – from Byres Road to Kelvingrove Park, featuring
street bands and costume groups from across the UK – will
join forces with the Glasgow Mela for a heady mixture of
multi-cultural music.
The Gibson Street Party, on Sunday 18 June, should improve
on last year’s success and the west end will buzz with music
at Oran Mor, open-air theatre in the Botanic Gardens and
events at Glasgow University and libraries, as well as the
streets and lanes of this eclectic corner of the city.
