Recommendation to ERERTF re: Wells Fargo Proposal on Mortgage Scheme
Background: On February 16, 2006, Brad Kopecky, on behalf of Regina Brown, with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage presented a proposal to develop a Mortgage scheme which follows MISMO (Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization) standards. At the request of the Task Force, a group was formed to review the proposal and make recommendations to this committee as to the viability of the proposal. The group met on March 2, 2006. The following individuals were in attendance: Brad Kopecky for Regina Brown Chuck Baggeroer Terri Bulver Mike Cunniff Dean Pass Brent Worden Larry Dalien Ray Hirte Wells Fargo Independent Consultant US Bank Hennepin County West Central Indexing Perficient, Inc. Anoka County Hennepin County
Recommendation: The group reviewed the proposal and believes it is in the best interest of ERERTF and the state of Minnesota to pursue the proposal with the following recommendation: o Create a “Security Instrument XML” subcommittee o Purpose Oversee the development and testing of the Minnesota scheme for the security instrument Incorporate lessons learned from the past Oversee the development of a communications protocol and version control o If approved by ERERTF the group will: o Continue to meet to make a determination on the action items and timeline for completion o Present action items and findings to ERERTF at April meeting
