Health & Safety Regulations
CHIDDINGSTONE
The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health
and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must
take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must
obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
HUNTER TRIAL
LOCKSKINNERS FARM HUNTER TRIAL
SUNDAY 20tH SEPTEMBER 2009 Dress: Hunting dress or cross country clothes and crash helmets must be worn,
9am PROMPT START strapped, at all times when mounted. It is strongly recommended that competitors
wear a stock and back protector. Only blunt spurs without rowels may be worn. A
ENTRIES CLOSE TUESDAY 15th SEPTEMBER whip may be no longer than 30 inches overall and may not be weighted.
CLASS Riding numbers: Bib type numbers will be used. A £5 deposit (returnable) will be
charged. No change given.
1) MINI PAIRS - 2’ approx Scoring: Mini, Novice & Pairs classes will operate a bogey time, Intermediate
Entry Fee: £20 (for the pair) ground conditions permitting will be run on fastest time. Pair’s time will be taken

2) MINI NOVICE – 2’ approx Falls: All riders having sustained a fall are eliminated and must leave the course at

3) NOVICE PAIRS – 2’6” approx No horse or pony may compete more than once in a class.
Entry Fee: £25 (for the pair) Each horse or pony may not enter more than two classes excluding escort of mini

Scoring: Bogey time All horses/ponies must be 4 years old or over.
No entry will be accepted without the appropriate entry fee.
4) NOVICE – 2’6” approx The organisers’ decision is final.
Entry Fee: £15 No excessive use of whip or spurs.
Prize Money: 1st = £20, 2nd = £15, 3rd = £10, 4th = £5 All objections must be made in writing within 10 minutes of the alleged incident to

ALL ENTRIES WILL BE LIMITED No competitor may enter or proceed in a class if considered unfit by the Medical
Professionals in attendance.
