Bay Colt by ‘Oasis Dream’ x ‘Miss Anabaa’

This colt is by Oasis Dream, the European Champion Sprinter of 2003 and one of the best sprinters of recent times. He won
both the Group 1 July Cup (beating Choisir) and the Group 1 Nunthorpe Stakes while he was also a Group 1-winning two-year-
old and indeed set a course record when winning the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes.
He is now one of the most sought after and promising young stallions in Europe. His oldest progeny are just three-year-olds of
2008 and include the Group 3 winners Aqlaam, Captain Gerrard, Starlit Sands and Visit plus several more placed in Group
races including Tuscan Evening who was second (disqualified to fourth) in the Group 1 Irish 1000 Guineas. His second crop
includes the highly thought of Group 3 winner Sri Putra.

Unusually, this colt’s first dam Miss Anabaa was also a top-class sprinter, winning the Group 3 Ballyogan Stakes and Listed
Naas Sprint Stakes; so he has a double dose of classy sprinting speed. Her first foal has showed promise this year, coming third
on his debut over five furlongs. Miss Anabaa is by the top-class French-based stallion Anabaa (1996 European Champion
Sprinter and also winner of the July Cup). He is a proven Group 1 stallion and is the sire of Arazan, third in the Group 1 National
Stakes in 2008.

Miss Anabaa is a half-sister to four other winners including seven-time sprint winner Move It who won £226,000 in prizemoney.
The second dam Midnight Shift won two races (both over six furlongs) and she is a half-sister to a very good sprinter; Owington.
In fact he was European Champion Sprinter in 2004, winning five races including the Group 1 July Cup plus three other Group
Interestingly, this colt is actually bred on similar lines to Owington who was also by Green Desert, Oasis Dream’s sire. Clearly
the Green Desert sireline works well with this family. The third dam Old Domesday Book, as well as being a great broodmare,
was a decent filly on the track and was placed in two Listed races and produced nine winners from 12 runners.

This is a classy, speedy and prolific female family with the emphasis on speed which is further bolstered by the cross with Oasis
Dream. There are three European Champion Sprinters in this colt’s immediate pedigree.
