Rice MBA 2008-2009 Recruiter’s Guide
http://recruit.mba.rice.edu
Dear Recruiter and Jones School Community, The talent and experience of our graduates continue to attract employers from the world’s top companies. We appreciate the many recruiters already committed to Rice University, and we invite those of you who have not experienced recruiting at the Jones Graduate School of Management to do so this year. Recruitment has remained strong, despite a challenging economic landscape. This is due to both the quality of our graduates and the deep and growing base of our committed recruiters. We are grateful to the numerous companies that have already begun scheduling Partios and other events on campus. Here are some of the Jones School highlights from the past year: Placement: Seventy-three percent of the Jones School’s second-year class was employed in positions at graduation, the second highest percentage since the commencement of our benchmarking efforts. Student Quality: The already exceptional caliber of Jones School students is continuing to improve. Average incoming GMAT scores are up over 40 points in the past two years, and our students are making themselves known nationally at business school competitions. Last year, Jones School teams collected trophies at various national competitions, including the National Association of Women MBAs Conference, the Duke MBA Games, the TCU Marketing Case Competition, and the Tulane Finance Case Competition. MBA for Professionals: The MBA for Professionals program, our evening program, is continuing to grow. The incoming class boasts an average of more than six years of work experience. The growth of this program is yet another way in which the Jones School is working to serve recruiter needs. Again, we are delighted to have you as a recruiter of our students. Thank you for your support, and we look forward to seeing you on campus!
The Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management excels in developing principled, innovative thought leaders in global communities. The mission of the Career Management Center is to assist students and alumni from all Rice MBA programs develop the skills necessary to self-manage their careers effectively throughout their professional lives and to attract appropriate employers to continually recruit from the Jones School.
