Tony has over twenty years experience in both industry and professional services firms covering a broad spectrum of organisations and industries including: • Banking and Financial Services • Manufacturing, Distribution and Logistics • Healthcare • Postal Services • Government • Mining • Retail Tony holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from Sydney University, a Master Business Administration from the University of Technology, Sydney and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Tony was also a Lecturer in International Marketing in the School of Marketing and the University of Technology, Sydney. After a distinguished career working in a variety of marketing and corporate strategy roles in a major global corporation, Tony moved into a role as Lecturer in the School of Marketing, University of Technology, Sydney. This served as the basis to move into Management Consulting working for the major consulting firms, such as EDS/AT Kearney and Proudfoot Consulting. In that time Tony has held roles at GM, Director and Vice President level running major Business Transformation and turnaround programmes for clients both locally and regionally with the last major programme and role being a regional role, based in Singapore.

Selected Engagements
Worked with Invensys Process Systems, part of Invensys plc, managing their Business Transformation program as VP Operations, with responsibility for Asia Pacific, based in Singapore reporting to the President Asia Pacific. The purpose of the role was to help transform the business and regain market leadership in their chosen markets, covering the creation and execution of the created strategy. The agenda focussed across all facets of the business and achieved a 10% increase in revenue and a 10% improvement in margin Sales and Marketing – covering client acquisition and management Operations – manufacturing and delivery Customer Service Management Exploration of low cost manufacturing opportunities in China Operational improvements in the Finance, Administration, HR and IT functions as part of a shared services model across the region Worked with EDS as General Manager Consulting on the EDS Commonwealth Bank joint venture, at the time when the CBA had purchased the Colonial Bank. Worked with ATKearney to create strategies that could be operationalised and serve as inputs into technology requirements. Delivered a number of assignments of strategic and operational importance to the Bank, including: The original strategy that evolved into the current ComSee program Integration of Colonial First State into the Commonwealth Bank Business Process Outsourcing for the Commonwealth Bank Operations and Loans processing centres Worked with Australia Post on their transformation agenda in the midto-late 90s, at a time when Post was corporatised and its markets were being progressively opened up to competition. The role focussed on improving the operational performance of the business, particularly it’s core processes from the point at which a parcel or letter is posted through to delivery of that item to its final destination. Over $60M in bottom line benefits were realised. Business areas covered included: Mail Network Processing Centres Parcel Network Processing Centres Delivery Network Transportation Distribution and Supply Centres Experience gained in assessing businesses from an investment perspective. This entailed assessing the business and determining whether an investment should be made in that business. Start up ventures in the Retail & Consumer Goods Industry covering the spectrum of activity from creation of the strategy and business model through to its implementation across the various operational layers as well as funding options
