January, 2006

Enclosed please find the Yale School of Nursing Financial Aid Application for 2006-

The financial aid priority deadline for GEPN students is a postmark of February 13, 2006
or earlier. If you miss this deadline, some aid may no longer be available. Students
admitted to the RN program and those admitted later than February 15 should complete
their applications as soon as possible. U.S. students need to complete the following:

       1. Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Log on to
www.fafsa.ed.gov and use School Code 001426 to have the results sent to us. If
you have not completed your 2005 Federal Tax return, please estimate the
information required so that you do not miss the deadline. Parental information is
       not required.

       2. The Yale School of Nursing Financial Aid Application. This application is
also available on our website: www.nursing.yale.edu. Mail to the School’s
Financial Aid Office at the address above.

Financial aid awards consist of loans, work-study, and scholarship. Three federal student
loan programs are available to U.S. citizens – Stafford, Perkins, and Nursing Student
Loans. All U.S. students are eligible for some or all of these loans. Terms and conditions
for each are explained in the YSN Bulletin on page 121. Our policy is to meet the first
part of a student’s need with federal loans, then offer a portion of the remaining need as
YSN scholarship. Work study is available for a limited number of students. Private
student loans are also available.
